When Boston came to the East Bay to take on Golden State, no one thought they could end the Warriors streak. Celtics came off a back-to-back, they had lost two straight and Jae Crowder missing the game as he still works his way back from injury. Instead, Boston shocked the world with a 109-106 victory over Golden State ending their 54-game winning streak at home.
Boston responded to every punch Golden State threw at them. Steph Curry got hot in the third quarter with 24 points in the quarter, and that typically starts the derailment for opposing teams yet the Celtics became stronger. Isaiah Thomas had a great second half as well along with strong efforts from Marcus Smart and Evan Turner.
This is one loss. No takes should be had after this game for Golden State. They had a bad night after their third game in four days and after an overtime win versus Utah. Takes should be had with Boston. They are currently the sixth seed yet only a half game back of the three seed. If the Celtics can secure home court for one series, they'll be in great position to make a deep run.
Charlie.
