I would love a more creative name than 'Playoffs Recap' but this is going up late among other things. Anyways, I'm hoping these will be up daily until we get into the championship series where we'll do more of a 'Bucks Buzz' feel to things. Enjoy.
Indiana 100 Toronto 90
Headline: Not again, Raptors! - Toronto Raptors are now 1-7 in their last eight Game 1's. They have lost three straight years in the first round with all of them having home court. Toronto gets allergic to playing basketball in the playoffs. Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan had woeful games to begin the playoff season. They need to be better.
Player of the Game: Paul George - What a game for PG-13 with 33 points with 27 points coming in the second half. He took over the fourth quarter and looked like the playoff killer he was a couple years ago.
Atlanta 102 Boston 101
Headline: Atlanta's big first half carries them - Hawks came out not scared of the moment as they were up 16 points at halftime. Boston would loosen up in the second half and give Atlanta quite a scare as the game went down to the wire. This would have been a bad loss for the Hawks, but they were able to hold on.
Player of the Game: Jeff Teague - Many people thought Dennis Schroder would be the point guard by now, but Teague didn't allow it to happen plus I bet Atlanta is happy he's still on the roster. He had a great game against a tough Boston perimeter defense with 24 points and 12 assists.
Golden State 104 Houston 78
Headline: Concerns about Steph's ankle: Steph Curry rolled his ankle in the third quarter and returned to the game only for a little bit. Good news with the NBA schedule, these games are spread out a little bit therefore Curry could be fine. My guess is he doesn't miss time, but Steve Kerr monitors his minutes.
Player of the Game: Steph Curry: Even though he left the game with an ankle injury, Curry lit up the Houston Rockets for 24 points and five three-pointers in the first half.
Oklahoma City 108 Dallas 70
Headline: Does this say more about Dallas or Oklahoma City? - I'm going with the former for this one. Dallas isn't a good team. I had the Thunder sweeping the Mavericks for this very reason. Like Memphis who plays San Antonio today, they ran out of gas as the season went on.
Player of the Game: Enes Kanter - I know people don't like he plays zero defense, but Kanter can be an effective scorer for this team. He scored 16 points and pulled down 13 rebounds in only 24 minutes.
Charlie.
