John Tavares Gives Islanders First Playoff Series in 23 Years

It's hard not to like the New York Islanders. They have a group of young,
talented, players with a great deal of heart. Islanders played a great series last year versus Washington Capitals, and a few years ago with Pittsburgh Penguins. New York finally broke through beating the Florida Panthers in six games. Isles recovered from being down 2-1 to take the next three games. John Tavares, the leader of this team, was an absolute stud tonight with the game-tying and game-winning goal.

New York moves on to play the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Charlie.
