NBA Playoffs Recaps: Easy like a Sunday Blowout

I would love a more creative name than 'Playoffs Recap' but this is going up late among other things. Anyways, I'm hoping these will be up daily until we get into the championship series where we'll do more of a 'Bucks Buzz' feel to things. Enjoy.

Cleveland 106 Detroit 101
Headline: Cavaliers big three looked lethal - Detroit shot the lights out in the first half, and question marks remain about their defense yet the Cavaliers offense looked in full bore. Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love and LeBron James provided 81 of the Cavaliers 106 points. If that's happening, there aren't many teams who can beat this squad. One of the best games I've seen from the Cleveland three all year.

Player of the Game: Kevin Love - Obviously, it's a take your pick with the three yet I'm going with Love. He had 23 points and 10 rebounds. Love seemed to find his shot whenever Cleveland needed a scoring boost as this game went back and forth with multiple lead changes.

Los Angeles 115 Portland 95
Headline: These two teams really no love for each other - We haven't seen a good playoff fight in probably five years or so. Maybe even more than that, but I could see it with these two teams. They both carry an edge, and it shows on the basketball court. Chris Kaman's intentional fouls at the end were not taken lightly by DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin.

Player of the Game: Blake Griffin - Uh oh, Blake is back, and that's bad news for the rest of the Western Conference. Griffin finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. Portland does not have an answer for him, and it showed on Sunday night with Griffin being a part of the scoring trio which paved the way for L.A.

Miami 123 Charlotte 91
Headline: Hornets had no answer in the paint - Miami would end up with 56 points in the paint. Hassan Whiteside dunked many a basketballs especially in the second half. Charlotte's defense looked like listless giving up nine three-pointers on 18 attempts as well. Hornets need to be better on the defense end moving forward.

Player of the Game: Luol Deng - What a throwback outing for Luol with 31 points and seven rebounds. Deng did a lot of his work in the corner raining threes as he finished with four from deep.

San Antonio 106 Memphis 74
Headline: Spurs second half adjustments prove to be the key - Memphis only trailed by eleven at halftime, and San Antonio came out with their bulldozers in the second. Spurs looked like a different team as they ran the Grizzlies out of the stadium in the second half.

Player of the Game: Kawhi Leonard - Standard night for Kawhi who got some time off after the Spurs tranquilize the Grizzlies in third. He had 20 points with four steals on 8-of-13 shooting.

Charlie.
