New from JS: Packers will bring back Barclay, no decision yet on Kuhn https://t.co/4FMYNvxE6U #Packers— Tom Silverstein (@TomSilverstein) April 17, 2016
Don Barclay will return to the Green Bay Packers next season according to Tom
Silverstein. This will not make much of the base happy. Barclay had a forgettable year playing tackle and really struggled in his third year after a somewhat successful rookie year battling back from an ACL injury. The thought is Barclay's ACL injury is a two-year thing, and he'll be back to rookie form. The other hypothesis is he will be pushed inside to play guard and back up Josh Sitton or T.J. Lang.
I do think this doesn't deter Green Bay from drafting a tackle in the first couple rounds of the draft. Position doesn't really stop Ted Thompson even if Packers fans don't understand it.
Charlie.
