There were many things on television this weekend that were better to watch than the Texas Open. Hell, Rickie Fowler's Snapchat stories was better than the tournament for the first three and a half days. But the finish on Sunday rivaled anything we've seen this year. Charley Hoffman finally closes out a tournament and had his first PGA Tour win in a couple years after being close a bunch of times. Hoffman is known for being a golfer there on Friday then somewhere near the middle by the end of it.
He closed this one out with Patrick Reed right on his ass. Reed who has been great this year without a victory nearly chipped in for eagle on the final hole. Reed made birdie to put pressure on Hoffman who had a 20-footer for birdie. He drilled it for the victory and Hoffman took home the Texas Open.

The PGA heads to the Nola where the scoring should be high and a pretty solid field, much better than this week.
