When the title defense began for the Golden State Warriors, no one thought they could win 73 games. There weren't any ideas about it or any podcast talking about the chances of it happening. Simply put, many believed this record was unbreakable. Like Joe DiMaggio's hit streak or Wilt dropping 100, no hoops head thought the 1995-1996 Bulls record could be touched. Well, Golden State did that by finishing the year, 73-9. The best ever record in the NBA. This is an amazing feat.
Golden State never lost back-to-back games and finished with two losses on the year. They lost to multiple teams including your Milwaukee Bucks that were under .500 for the season. Golden State led by Steph Curry is something we haven't seen in basketball for a very long. The dynasty has begun, and the question is what can they do next to top this feat?
The answer would be to finish the playoffs, 15-1. Los Angeles Lakers did it and if not for an A.I. step-over, they would have swept the Sixers.
Charlie.
