Marquette freshman Henry Ellenson will declare for the NBA Draft and sign with an agent, source told ESPN. No surprise— Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanESPN) April 4, 2016
In a move that shouldn't surprise many people, Marquette forward Henry Ellenson will head to the NBA after a dominating freshman year. Ellenson broke most of Marquette's freshman records last season. He's being projected anywhere from six to 12, and Ellenson hired an agent meaning there's no chance of a Marquette reunion. I do wonder if things would have been different if the NBA Draft were stronger than it is this season. I'm not sure Ellenson is a surefire top 10 pick in other drafts.
Best of luck to him. It's a shame Ellenson didn't get a chance to play in the Big Dance.
Charlie.
